Over the years, the horse had lost all of its original paint finish and harness as seen below.
All structural repairs were carried out, during which, a workmans note was found inside the body of the horse, indicating the time and date of the horse's manufacture.
The horse was redappled and reharnessed in the style it would of have been originally in 1906 as shown below.
