Although not uncommon in the USA, this Whitney-Reed rocking horse is rare in the UK. Both the horse and stand have just undergone a full restoration in our own workshop. During restoration, we discovered a work mans note inside the horse, with a date and time, assumed to be the time of the horses construction. (The note was put back in the horse)
The horse has been repainted in the original dapple style of this maker and has also been reharnessed to original style. There is still a remnant of the makers lable on the belly of the horse.
This rocking horse is suitable for a collector.
