Made by G Bayol of Angers, France,  circa 1910

Dimensions: Floor to head 59".  Overall length 60".

This is a rare oppertunity to acquire a most beautiful Bayol standing Carousel horse, with carved wooden rosettes and tassles. The saddle blanket has been carved in a chequered pattern and has a 'Bayol' metal plaque afixed. It has a carved mane and great flowing tail and also has glass eyes. The horse still has its original front and rear stays, which would have located the horse to the platform of the 'ride'.

The original fine detailed carving is now covered by many subsequent layers of paint and requires skilled restoration.  Also some structural work would be nessersary. We are able to carry out restoration work to any specification.       Please do not hesitate to contact us for a quote.
